The final fase - English

 When you’re in the final stage of your internship, it can feel a bit strange. Some housemates might have already finished their internships, while others haven’t yet. You’ll need to start preparing for your life in the Netherlands again, submit your report, and there are a few tips that go with this phase:

• If you canceled your part-time job or rental contract before starting your internship, make sure to start looking for a new job and/or housing ON TIME. Because of the time difference, things can take longer, and online interviews or viewings can make it more challenging.

• Make sure your company supervisor has signed all necessary documents before you leave, and ideally, has also completed the final evaluation. Once you’re back in the Netherlands, response times can increase significantly, which can be crucial if the final deadline is approaching.

• Just like when you started your internship, take a few days to rest and adjust when returning to the Netherlands. Don’t book your flight to align directly with the start of the next semester. Avoid going back to work the next day. Take some time to reflect on the entire experience before diving into new responsibilities. This way, you’ll create mental clarity and approach your life in the Netherlands with renewed energy.
